Message I'm getting ready to dump the built block of mine and trade it in for the reliability of a stock block. I might even go as far as buying it brand new from the dealership, just to insure there are no problems which can be associated with a used block... Who knows, I'll play it be ear when I gather the rest of my upgraded parts first.

For years, I've had all the basic components to support the power (larger intercoolers, 740cc injectors, Stillen intake, MS manifolds, newer downpipes, blah-blah-blah), but I've never heard of anyone running large turbos with stock internals. I know there is a lag issue, but that shouldn't be a problem if I dial in my additional injector setup at the right RMP. Not to mention my modified torque converter.

I also spoke one of the more knowledgeable mechanics here in SoCal for a few hours a couple of weeks ago, and he recommended going back to a stock block versus revisiting the forged set up I have now, if I'm looking for a balance of reliability and lots of power. And without speaking on the shop's behalf, the impression that I got was that the stock block can handle quite a bit, without having forged pistons and other bells and whistles. JWT530s are an option, but I'm looking at achieving at least 600hp, which is why I'm pursuing the 700BBs.

Anyone have any experience with this, or a similar setup yet?
